The large and small plates and cups feature a beautiful design reminiscent of the Aso mountains, characterized by their pale, fresh hue known as caldera blue. This unique color is achieved using ash glaze derived from Oguni Sugi, utilizing the residual wood from essential oil extraction as a combustible and repurposing its ash. FIL's philosophy of maximizing the blessings of nature and pursuing sustainable production is embodied in these pieces.
